NXP Semiconductors FS86 SBC 12V Evaluation Board (KITFS86AUTFRDMEM) is a demonstration and development platform for the FS86 Safety System Basis Chip (SBC). The FS86 SBC is designed to address the multiple MCU requirements in Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS) and other automotive safety systems. The FS86 SBC 12V Evaluation Board provides the flexibility to exercise all the device’s features. All regulators are accessible through connectors. Nonuser signals, like the DC-DC switcher node, are mapped on easily accessible test points. This Evaluation Board targets 12V automotive applications.
The NXP Semiconductors FS86 SBC 12V Evaluation Board includes a pre-connected FRDM-KL25Z Freedom Development Board. The FRDM-KL25Z, combined with the FS86 NXP GUI software, enables users to configure and control FS86 SBC.
This FS86 SBC 12V Evaluation Board is populated with an FS86 family superset part for device evaluation. The FS86 part soldered on the board can be programmed (OTP) two times, and it is possible to test as many configurations as needed in emulation mode before and after programming.
FS86-SW-DRIVER
The FS86-SW-DRIVER provides high-level support for FS86 family SBCs. The driver also provides a complete register map. The driver implements basic functionality for FS86 interfacing as I2C communication abstraction, watchdog settings and refreshes, writing to INIT registers, enabling and disabling voltage regulators, and more.
NXP GUI for Automotive PMIC Families
The NXP GUI for Automotive PMIC Families lets users evaluate the functionality, configure the OTP settings, program the OTP, and calculate the thermal efficiency for specific use cases. The GUI supports VR5510, FS26, FS86, PF7100, PF5020, PF5023, FS5600, PF5024, PF8200, PF8100, PF8201, PF8101, and PF8121 PMICs.
