Wittra IOT OUT OF THE BOX™ Development Kit is a complete wireless sensor network with a cloud-based Application Programming Interface (API) that can be deployed on a site to monitor objects and assets. The ruggedized kit enables users to connect, sense, and locate their assets in harsh environments such as heavy industrial sites and areas of weak connectivity. The use of sub-GHz frequency bands provides a long transmission range and enables the signal to penetrate dense building infrastructure. With pre-certified hardware, the IOT OUT OF THE BOX Development Kit is secure, easy to deploy, and ready for field deployment.
The IOT OUT OF THE BOX Development Kit includes a Cloud Gateway with cabled Ethernet and Wi-Fi® connectivity, IP67 Sensor Tags with a long-life rechargeable battery, and Mesh-Routers to provide network connectivity. Delivered with a cloud-based API, assets such as industrial equipment, tools, vehicles, and medical devices can be monitored to provide data on the asset location, movement, usage, temperature, and more. The Sensor Tags, Mesh-Routers, and Gateway operate in IP-based low-power wireless mesh networks based on 6LoWPAN, Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) over IEEE 802.15.4g in the Sub-GHz RF band.
The Wittra IOT OUT OF THE BOX Development Kit is offered in two variants, one for the North American market (1000345) and one for the European market (1000250).
Wittra Cloud Service enables configuration and management of Sensor Tags and network, as well as an API to stream sensor data to third-party applications. It is a single point collection of all data to reduce development costs, increase security and accelerate time to market. The Wittra Cloud Service is available 24/7, continuously upgraded, and automatically scales to meet application needs with built-in support for remote, secure software updates. The Wittra Cloud Service provides autonomous operation and data integrity protection, along with provisioning and management functionality, documentation, support and user forum, and customizable dashboards.
