Vishay / BC Components PTCEL High Energy PTC Thermistors feature up to 300J energy absorption levels, higher than previous PTC thermistors. The thermistors offer more than 100,000 inrush-power cycles, a 1200V max direct voltage capability, and a high resistance against 25kW max non-switching peak power. In case of overloading, Vishay / BC Components PTCEL High Energy PTC Thermistors self-protect with no risk of overheating. The PTCEL High Energy series is AEC-Q200 qualified and ideal for AC/DC and DC/DC converters, energy dump and DC-Link circuits, on-board chargers (OBC), battery charging equipment, and other applications.
