u-blox JODY-W3 Host-Based Automotive Modules are compact modules that utilize the NXP AW690/88Q9098/88W9098 chipsets to provide various communication capabilities. The u-blox JODY-W3 capabilities include Wi-Fi®, BLUETOOTH®, and Bluetooth low energy. These modules are ideal for in-vehicle infotainment and telematics applications that require high data rates, like creating in-car hotspots, implementing Wi-Fi display features like Apple CarPlay, and streaming video across multiple devices. These modules can operate in multiple modes, including Wi-Fi 1×1 and 2×2 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax in 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands and Dual-mode Bluetooth 5.3. The devices also have the ability of dual simultaneous Wi-Fi operation, supporting different Wi-Fi network operations at two different frequency bands. The modules also undergo extensive testing and are manufactured in compliance with u-blox qualification policy based on AEC-Q104 and ISO/TS 16949 AEC-Q104 standards. The devices connect to host processors via interfaces like PCIe or SDIO for Wi-Fi and high-speed UART for Bluetooth.
