Texas Instruments UCC27624EVM Driver Evaluation Module (EVM)

Texas Instruments UCC27624EVM Driver Evaluation Module (EVM) is designed to evaluate the UCC27624, a 30V, 5A single-channel gate driver. This evaluation module is targeted to evaluate the driver IC against datasheet parameters. The driver IC may be evaluated against various capacitive and resistive loads. The evaluation module may be configured to parallel the driver IC’s channels for higher gate drive output current. The Texas Instruments UCC27624EVM has provisions for evaluating power transistors with TO-220 footprints.

Features

  • Evaluation module for the low-voltage features of the UCC27624 gate driver
  • 4.5V to 26V VCC power supply range
  • 5A source, 5A sink current
  • -10V input voltage capability
  • TTL-compatible inputs
  • PCB layout optimized for bias supply bypassing cap, gate-drive resistance selection
  • Capacitive load, external gate drive resistor, and TO-220 footprint for N-ch MOSFETs gate drive network evaluation
  • Ability to parallel both OUTA and OUTB channels for higher pulsed output current
  • Allows quick verification of most of the data sheet parameters
  • Test points allow probing all the key pins of the UCC27624

Required Equipment

  • Power Supply
    • DC power supply with voltage and current above 26V and 1A (for example, Agilent E3634A)
  • Function Generator
    • Two-channel function generator over 10MHz (for example, Tektronics AFG3252)
  • DMM
    • DMM with voltage and current above 26V and 1A (for example, Fluke 187)
  • Oscilloscope
    • Four-channel oscilloscope with 500MHz or greater bandwidth (for example, DPO 7054)
