Texas Instruments UCC27614EVM Driver Evaluation Module (EVM)

Texas Instruments UCC27614EVM Driver Evaluation Module (EVM) is designed to evaluate the UCC27614, a 30V, 10A single-channel two × two gate driver. This evaluation module is targeted to evaluate the driver IC against datasheet parameters. The driver IC may be evaluated against various capacitive and resistive loads. The evaluation module may be set up in inverting or non-inverting configuration. The Texas Instruments UCC27614EVM has provisions for evaluating power transistors with TO-220 footprints.

Features

  • The evaluation module is for the low-voltage features of the UCC27614DSG gate driver
  • 4.5V to 26V VCC power supply range
  • 10A source, 10A sink current for the UCC27614EVM
  • -10V input voltage capability
  • TTL-compatible inputs
  • Available in 2mm x 2mm SON-8 package
  • PCB layout optimized for bias supply bypassing cap, gate-drive resistance selection
  • Capacitive load, external gate drive resistor, and TO-220 footprint for N-ch MOSFETs gate drive network evaluation
  • Inverting or non-inverting configurations
  • Test points allow probing all the key pins of the UCC27614DSG

Required Equipment

  • Power Supply
    • DC power supply with voltage and current above 26V and 1A (for example, Agilent E3634A)
  • Function Generator
    • Two-channel function generator over 10MHz (for example, Tektronics AFG3252)
  • DMM
    • DMM with voltage and current above 30V and 1A (for example, Fluke 187)
  • Oscilloscope
    • Four-channel oscilloscope with 500MHz or greater bandwidth (for example, DPO 7054)
