Texas Instruments TPSM8A29EVM Converter Evaluation Module (EVM) allows users to evaluate the TPSM8A29. The TPSM8A29 is a 15A buck converter with an integrated inductor allowing for a small solution size and fast design time. The default output voltage range is 0.8V to 5.0V, with a flexible arrangement of output capacitors. The TPSM8A29EVM is configured for operation with a 4V to 16V input voltage. A wide range of output voltages (0.8V to 5V) can be configured using the included header. Three different switching frequencies (600kHz, 800kHz, 1MHz), as well as forced-continuous conduction mode (FCCM) or discontinuous conduction mode (DCM) operation, are also configured using the included header.
Several test points are included on the Texas Instruments TPSM8A29EVM to facilitate the measurement and evaluation of device performance. Several other test points can be used to monitor control signals or use external input control signals to the TPSM8A29. The wide input voltage range, output voltage range, high current output, small solutions size, and flexible operating modes of the TPSM8A29 make the TPSM8A29 an excellent choice for a wide range of markets.
