Texas Instruments TPSM5601R5 Power Modules

Texas Instruments TPSM5601R5 Power Modules are a highly integrated 1.5A power solution, including a 60V input, step-down DC/DC converter with power MOSFETs, a shielded inductor, and passives in a thermally enhanced QFN package.

The TI TPSM5601R5 compact, easy-to-use power modules feature a wide adjustable output voltage range of 1.0V to 6V. This total solution requires as few as four external components and eliminates the loop compensation and magnetics part selection from the design process.

The device offers a full feature set including power good, programmable UVLO, pre-bias start-up, overcurrent, and temperature protections. This feature set makes the TPSM5601R5 ideal for powering various applications. Additionally, the TPSM5601R5S delivers a frequency spread-spectrum operation.

The 5mm × 5.5mm × 4mm, 15-pin QFN package utilizes HotRod QFN technology for enhanced thermal performance, a small footprint, and low EMI in space-constrained applications. The QFN package footprint has all pins accessible from the perimeter and a single large thermal pad for simple layout and easy handling in manufacturing.
