Texas Instruments TPS92643EVM-204 Regulator Evaluation Module

Texas Instruments TPS92643EVM-204 Regulator Evaluation Module (EVM) helps designers evaluate the operation and performance of the TPS92643-Q1 3.0A buck switching regulator designed for high-current LED drive applications. The TPS92643-Q1 is intended to control high-brightness light-emitting diodes (LED). The device features a wide input voltage range (5.5V to 40V), PWM dimming capability, analog dimming capability, and input undervoltage lockout protection. It also includes fault detection, an internal 5V regulator, and the ability to perform duty cycle control of the onboard 1.6kHz PMW signal.

The Texas Instruments TPS92643EVM-204 provides a high-brightness LED driver designed to operate with an input voltage in the range of 5.5V to 36V (nominally at 14V). The evaluation module has a default output current of 2.5A (programmable to 3A) for an LED stack between approximately 3V and nearly 32V operating at 440kHz. The TPS92643-Q1 helps provide high efficiency, fast PWM dimming, and accurate wide-range analog dimming.
