Texas Instruments TPS7A94 Ultra-High PSRR RF Voltage Regulator is a low-noise (0.46μVRMS), low-dropout (LDO) voltage regulator capable of sourcing 1A with only 200mV of maximum dropout. The low dropout, in conjunction with a wide bandwidth error amplifier, allows for very high PSRR (100dB at 1kHz or 60dB at 1MHz) under low operating headroom (500mV) and high output current (1A). Output is adjustable with an external resistor from 0 to 5.3V. With a wide input voltage range, the TPS7A94 supports operation as low as 1.7V and up to 5.5V. The component includes uncommon features such as programmable current limit, programmable PG threshold, and precision enable, allowing more application control.
With a high accuracy reference and wide-bandwidth, unity-gain follower LDO, the device can be easily paralleled to achieve lower noise and higher current. With 1% output voltage accuracy (over line, load, and temperature) and soft-start capabilities to reduce in-rush current, the TPS7A94 Ultra-High PSRR RF Voltage Regulator is ideal for powering sensitive analog low-voltage devices such as voltage-controlled oscillators (VCOs), analog-to-digital converters (ADCs), digital-to-analog converters (DACs), high-end processors, and field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs).
