Texas Instruments TPS715 LDO Voltage Regulators

Texas Instruments TPS715 LDO Voltage Regulators are low-quiescent current devices that feature the benefits of a wide input voltage range and low power operation in miniaturized packaging. The TPS715 is designed for battery-powered applications and as a power-management attachment to low-power microcontrollers.

The TI TPS715 LDO voltage regulators provide fixed and adjustable versions. The adjustable version implements feedback resistors to set the output voltage from 1.205V to 15V for more flexibility or higher output voltages.

The TPS715 supports a low dropout of 415mV, typically at 50mA of load current. The low quiescent current (3.2μA typically) is stable over the entire range of output load current (0mA to 50mA). Additionally, the TPS715 features an internal soft start to lower the inrush current. The built-in overcurrent limit on the device protects in the event of a load short or fault.
