Texas Instruments TPS62993-Q1 Automotive Buck Converter

Texas Instruments TPS62993-Q1 Automotive Buck Converter offers high efficiency and flexibility in a small package size that is easy to use. The TPS62993-Q1 provides a 2.5MHz or 1.0MHz selectable switching frequency, permitting a fast transient response and using small inductors. The device delivers a high ±1.5% VOUT accuracy across the entire operating temperature range and enhanced load transient performance with the DCS-Control topology. The wide 3V to 10V input voltage range supports a variety of nominal inputs, such as 9V supply rails, single-cell or multi-cell Li-Ion, and 5V or 3.3V rails.

The TI TPS62993-Q1 automotive buck converter automatically enters power save mode (if auto PFM or PWM is selected) at light loads to maintain high efficiency. Furthermore, to allow high efficiency at tiny loads, the device has a low typical quiescent current of 4µA. AEE, if enabled, equips high efficiency across VIN, VOUT, and load current. The device incorporates a MODE/Smart-CONF input to set the internal and external divider, switching frequency, output voltage discharge, and automatic power save mode or forced PWM operation.
