Texas Instruments TPL1401EVM Evaluation Module (EVM)

Texas Instruments TPL1401EVM Evaluation Module (EVM) is an easy-to-use platform to evaluate the functionality and performance of the TPL1401. The TPL1401 is a buffered voltage-output digital potentiometer (DPOT). This product has non-volatile memory (NVM), an internal reference, and an I2C interface. Texas Instruments TPL1401 operates with either an internal reference or the power supply as a reference and provides a full-scale output of 1.8V to 5.5V. The device communicates through the I2C interface. It supports I2C standard mode (100kbps), fast mode (400kbps), and fast-mode plus (FM+) (1Mbps).

Features

  • 256-position DPOT for a voltage divider
  • 1 LSB integral nonlinearity (INL) and differential nonlinearity (DNL)
  • Buffered wiper for improved load regulation
  • Wiper lock function protects accidental writes to DPOT

Required Equipment

  • BOOSTXL-DAC-PORT BoosterPack™ plug-in module
  • MSP-EXP432E401Y Launchpad™ (analog EVM controller)
