Texas Instruments TCAN1145EVM CAN Transceiver Evaluation Module

Texas Instruments TCAN1145EVM CAN Transceiver Evaluation Module (EVM) is used to evaluate the TLIN114x family of devices. The CAN bus is easily accessed via test points, J7 header, and a DSUB9 connector, standard in many automotive applications for cabling. All pins are available through headers or test points. There is an integrated USB2ANY circuit that allows the use of a TI graphical user interface (GUI). The SPI pins can also be disconnected from the USB2ANY circuit and are brought out to header pins for easy access with the user’s processor. Footprints for the CAN bus protection, as well as different termination options, are available also.

Features

  • Provides access to the CAN bus, TXD, and RXD pins to monitor CAN signaling and communication
  • SPI bus can be exercised by a built-in USB2ANY interface, or easily connected to an external processor
  • WAKE switch circuit to allow for easy wake up from sleep mode
  • Ability to power VCC and VIO through USB connection if USB2ANY interface is used
