Texas Instruments LV284 PWM DC-DC Buck (Step-Down) Regulator

Texas Instruments LV284 PWM DC-DC Buck (Step-Down) Regulator has a wide input range from 4V to 40V and is designed for various industrial and automotive applications. An ultra-low, 1µA shutdown current prolongs battery life. The operating frequency is fixed at 0.7MHz, allowing the use of small external components while still having a low output ripple voltage. Soft-start and compensation circuits are implemented internally, allowing the device to be used with minimum external components.

The Texas Instruments LV284 is optimized for up to 1A load current. The device has a 0.765V nominal feedback voltage. The device has built-in protection features such as thermal sensing, pulse-by-pulse current limit, and shutdown due to excessive power dissipation. The LV284 is available in a low-profile TSOT-6L package (2.9mm × 1.6mm × 0.85mm).
