Texas Instruments DRV8256EEVM Motor Driver Evaluation Module

Texas Instruments DRV8256EEVM Motor Driver Evaluation Module (EVM) allows for easy evaluation of the DRV8256E device. The DRV8932E integrates two N-channel power MOSFET H-bridges and integrated current sense and regulation circuitry. The DRV8256E device operates off a single power supply and supports a wide input supply range from 4.5V to 48V. The Texas Instruments DRV8256EEVM uses an MSP430™ microcontroller and a USB interface chip to manage communication from the graphical user interface (GUI) software application installed on a PC with ® Windows®. The GUI sends serial commands to the MSP430 to control the device signals, monitor faults, read and write SPI registers, and drive a motor.

Features

  • 4.5V to 48V operating voltage range
  • Up to 1A peak current
  • PWM control input interface
  • Integrated current sense
  • Selectable current regulation decay mode
