Texas Instruments CC2651P3 LaunchPad™ SimpleLink™ Development Kit offers full features for evaluating, developing, and prototyping applications for the CC26x1 wireless MCUs. The SimpleLink CC2651P3 and CC2651R3 BLUETOOTH® low energy wireless MCUs support Bluetooth 5 LE IEEE 802.15.4 based protocols, including Thread, ZigBee®, and TI 15.4 applications in addition to Bluetooth low energy (BLE). The CC26x1 wireless MCUs incorporate a 32-bit ARM® Cortex®-M4 processor running at 48MHz as the main application processor, 352kB of in-system programmable flash memory, 32kB of low-leakage SRAM, and a full complement of peripherals including I2C, SPI, and UART, cryptography accelerators (AES128).
The SimpleLink Starter app supports the TI CC2651P3 LaunchPad SimpleLink Development Kit for iOS and Android. The SimpleLink starter app connects the LaunchPad to a smartphone using BLE and supports reading the LaunchPad button states, controlling LEDs, and sending data strings to the UART back channel. The app allows cloud connectivity to the IBM Quickstart server or any cloud service via MQTT. This connectivity enables a cloud view where users can control the LaunchPad from any web browser minutes after setting it up.
The SimpleLink CC13xx backs development with the CC2651P3 LaunchPad and CC26xx SDK containing protocol stack and sample application and a wide range of free development tools such as Code Composer Studio™ (CCS) v10 and SmartRF™ Studio.
