Texas Instruments bq75614-Q1 Automotive Precision Battery Monitor integrates shunt-resistor current sense measurement with highly accurate cell voltage measurements within 128µs for all cell channels. The system utilizes integrated front-end filters to implement simple, low voltage rated, differential RC filters on the cell input channels. The integrated, post-ADC, low-pass filters allow filtered DC-like voltage measurements.
The TI bq75614-Q1 Automotive Precision Battery Monitor supports integrated current sensing capabilities with the option to synchronize with cell voltage measurements for a better state of charge (SOC) calculation. Additionally, the device features autonomous internal cell balancing with temperature monitoring to auto-pause and resume balancing to avoid an overtemperature condition.
The bq75614-Q1 provides eight GPIOs or auxiliary inputs intended for external thermistor measurements. Host communication is connected via the dedicated UART interface.
