Texas Instruments bq25175EVM Charger Evaluation Module (EVM)

Texas Instruments bq25175EVM Charger Evaluation Module (EVM) is designed to evaluate and test the various operating modes of the bq25175. The Texas Instruments bq25175 is a Li-ion and Li-poly chemistry battery charger IC for a 4.35V single cell. The charging current can be set from 60mA to 600mA with an external resistor on ISET.

Features

  • Complete solution for evaluation of the small form factor linear charger capable of providing up to 800mA to a single Li-ion battery
  • Adjustments for changing ISET value, fast charge current, TS sensing, and battery temp sensor

Required Equipment

  • Battery simulator such as Keithley 2400 or equivalent (or a single-cell battery)
  • Voltage meter and current meter
  • Power supply, 5V 1A input
    • Note that the unit can operate up to 6.6V input
