TE Connectivity’s / Entrelec Plastic Cable Glands and Accessories provide excellent strain relief for cables and high ingress protection for electrical enclosures. The IP68 and IP66 ratings offer protection against dirt, dust, sand, water, projections, and other liquids. These cable glands are available in multiple mounting options with three types of thread specifications, including metric, PG, and NPT. Locknuts are included with the majority of standard glands. The cable glands feature EMC and railway metal variants that are fitted with contact springs. These contact springs enlarge contact with the cable shield ensuring long-lasting contact quality and vibration-proof connection. Typical applications include electrical cabinets, machine tools, elevators, motors, manufacturing, biotechnology, and chemical industries.
Standard Cable Glands come in polyamide and brass variants with lamellar clamping. The Polyamide cable glands are designed for standard industrial applications, while the Brass cable glands are designed for harsh environments.
Specialized Cable Glands include the RJ45, EMC, and hygienic variants. The Polyamide RJ45 cable glands are designed for standard industrial applications using data cables with pre-assembled RJ45 connectors. The brass RJ45 cable glands are designed for harsh environments. The specialized EMC brass cable glands with spring contacts are designed for applications where EMC protection is needed. The specialized hygienic cable glands are designed for applications in the manufacturing and packaging of food and pharmaceuticals, cleanroom technology, biotechnology, and the chemical industry.
