TDK InvenSense Micro Electrical Mechanical Systems (MEMS) SmartMotion™ Tracking Solutions features 6-axis Inertial Measurement Units (IMUs) with dedicated software libraries. These two IMUs and their bundled software cover a range of applications, including smart TVs, robotics, wearables, augmented reality / virtual reality / head-mounted displays (AR/VR/HMD), and the Internet of Things (IoT). Both of the six-axis MEMS MotionTracking™ devices combine a three-axis gyroscope and a three-axis accelerometer in a 2.5mm x 3mm x 0.9mm package.
The ICM-40627 IMU is a highly precise, ultra-low-power solution dedicated to applications that require accurate pointing and motion control such as smart TV remotes, presentation pointers, smart sketching, or an air mouse. The ICM-40627 comes bundled with TDK’s Air Motion Library, which enables precise mouse pointing, swipe, roll, and other motion gestures.
The ICM-42688-V IMU is a high-performance, low-noise consumer IMU dedicated to obtaining high orientation accuracy for AR/VR, robotics, wearables, and other high-performance IoT applications. It comes bundled with an Advanced Sensor Fusion Library that provides highly accurate sensor fusion output (<1° of error) along with predictive quaternions. The ICM-42688-V features two key innovations not available in a typical consumer-grade IMU — a 100% accurate clock that eliminates timing errors and a high-resolution analog-to-digital converter. The converter allows an 8x increase in gyroscope resolution and a 4x increase in accelerometer resolution.
TDK InvenSense MEMS SmartMotion Tracking Solutions also includes a comprehensive development platform, the DK-42607 and DK-42688-V, along with the necessary software to enable quick-to-market development of user systems.
