TDK InvenSense ICS-40800 Ultra-Low Noise Directional MEMS Microphone features an ultra-high 70dBA signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and ±1dB sensitivity tolerance, making it ideal for far-field voice control and speech applications. The ICS-40800 is constructed from two sound ports, one on the bottom and one on the top of the module. This dual-port arrangement enables the microphone to exhibit variable sensitivity to sound based on the angle of arrival. The top port can be sealed off to create an omnidirectional sensitivity to sound. The ICS-40800 includes a MEMS microphone element, an impedance converter, and an output amplifier in a small 4mm x 3mm x 1.20mm surface-mount package. Other features include analog output, an extended frequency response from 80Hz to 20kHz, -86dBV power supply rejection (PSR), and a 128dB sound pressure level (SPL) acoustic overload point.
Typical applications for TDK InvenSense ICS-40800 Ultra-Low Noise Directional MEMS Microphone include tablet computers, teleconferencing systems, digital cameras, communication headsets, security and surveillance, and more.
