TDK InvenSense DK-CH201 Distance Sensor Development Tool is designed to evaluate the CH201 distance sensor. This DK-CH201 is a miniature, ultra-low power, and long-range ultrasonic Time-of-Flight (ToF) range sensor that is based on Chirp’s patented MEMS technology. The CH-201 sensor comes in a system-in-package that integrates Piezoelectric Micromachined Ultrasonic Transducer (PMUT) together with an ultra-low-power System on Chip (SoC) in a reflowable package. This CH201 sensor is fast and provides accurate range measurements to targets at distances up to 5m.
The DK-CH201 development tool is equipped with an on-board CH201 sensor and up to four external CH201 or CH101 sensor modules. These modules can be connected to the board via flat-flex cables for easy prototyping. This development tool is designed around Atmel’s SAMG55 Cortex-M4 MCU and can be used by developers for rapid evaluation and development of CH201 based solutions. The DK-CH201 tool includes an on-board Embedded Debugger so external tools are not required to program or debug the SAMG55 MCU. This development tool comes with necessary software including SonicLink, a GUI based development tool, and embedded drivers for CH201. Typical applications include drones and robotics, augmented/virtual reality and gaming, obstacle avoidance, and gesture control.
