STMicroelectronics VIPower M0-9 Smart High-Side Switches

STMicroelectronics VIPower M0-9 Smart High-Side Switches meet smart vehicle needs with zonal architectures for increasingly advanced functions. The STMicroelectronics VIPower M0-9 devices integrate features like ADC, PWM engine, priority manager, and an SPI interface or standard parallel interface. VIPower M0-9 technology with 40V trench vertical MOSFETs offers smarter devices able to handle and monitor the increased quantity of data required for increasingly complex advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). This technology includes autonomous driving requirements. These devices combine an efficient 40V trench vertical MOSFET with 3.3V digital logic and high-precision analog circuitry.

These intelligent high-side drivers simplify the hardware and software design of electronic control units (ECUs) and enhance system reliability. The devices are designed for high-side connections in applications powered by a 12V battery. The integrated pulse-width modulation (PWM) generator and priority management unit, with channel conversion arbitration and synchronization, provides a convenient and precise control signal at each output to handle functions. Moreover, these devices simplify AUTOSAR compliance by providing a complex driver that operates independently from the application, easing software development.
