STMicroelectronics STWLC98 Qi-Compliant Wireless Power Receiver

STMicroelectronics STWLC98 Qi-Compliant Inductive Wireless Power Receiver is ideal for applications supplying up to 70W output power. The chip is developed to support Qi specifications 1.2.4 and 1.3 for inductive communication protocol with Extended Power Profile (EPP) and proprietary ST Super Charge (STSC) protocol for fast charging.

The STWLC98 features an integrated low-loss synchronous rectifier and low drop-out linear regulator to achieve high efficiency with low power dissipation. Via the I²C interface, users can access and alter the configuration parameters for customized applications. The final configurations are stored in embedded Few Times Programmable (FTP) non-volatile memory and automatically retrieved at power-up.

The STWLC98 can also operate as a wireless transmitter up to 15W (coil dependent) chip-scale package. The low BOM count makes the device ideal for compact applications.
