STMicroelectronics EVLSRK1004x Demonstration Boards

STMicroelectronics EVLSRK1004x Demonstration Boards are designed to evaluate the SRK1004x Synchronous Rectification Controllers. The SRK1004 controller is intended for secondary-side synchronous rectification (SR) in a Non-Complementary Active Clamp Flyback converter and provides a gate drive output suitable for N-channel logic-level or standard-level power MOSFETs. The IC’s control scheme allows the SR MOSFET to be switched on as soon as current starts flowing through the body diode and is then switched off as the current approaches zero.

The boards provide a setting suitable for ACF or QR applications in low-side mode. In this case, the devices are supplied directly from the converter’s output voltage. When operated in a high-side configuration, a function enables quick detection of short circuit conditions to inhibit operation as if the IC were powered directly from the output voltage. The STMicroelectronics EVLSRK1004x Boards include the SR MOSFET (PowFLAT 5mm x 6mm package) and can be easily implemented into an existing converter to substitute rectifier diodes.
