Renesas Electronics RA2A2 32-bit Microcontrollers (MCUs) are based on the 48MHz Arm® Cortex®-M23 core and provide rich peripheral features targeting a wide range of applications. These microcontrollers feature a high-resolution ADC, continuous firmware update facility, segment LCD, and low-power operation for simplifying the system design. The RA2A2 MCUs target energy management and general-purpose applications by supporting 24-bit sigma-delta ADC, dual-bank code flash, independent power supply RTC, and segment LCD. These microcontrollers offer package options supporting 64-pin to 100-pin with LFQFP packages.
These microcontrollers employ multiple power structures and voltage detection hardware to realize energy-efficient ultra-low power operations. The Independent power supply RTC (IRTC) realizes long battery life suitable for applications requiring extended lifetime management in extreme conditions. Typical applications include industrial and building automation, home appliances, medical and healthcare, consumer electronics, and system control for energy management, including next-gen smart electricity meters.
