RECOM Power R-78K DC/DC Converters

RECOM Power R-78K DC/DC Converters are available in 0.5A, 1A, and 2A versions with fixed outputs of 1.2V, 1.5V, 1.8V, 2.5V, and 6.5V, depending on the model, as well as traditional outputs of 3.3V, 5V, 9V, 12V, and 15V. The R-78K-0.5, R-78K-1.0, and R-78K-2.0 series all offer a wide input voltage range of 4.5V_DC to 36V_DC with efficiency of up to 95% or 96% and no need for heatsinks. The R-78K units have an ambient operating temperature range of -40°C to +90°C, including versions with no derating. Protections include undervoltage lockout and short circuit with automatic recovery. These SIP3 converters can meet EN 55032 class B EMC specifications with a simple input filter.

RECOM Power R-78K DC/DC Converters are designed to save board space with an 11.5mm x 7.55mm footprint and 10.2mm height for the 0.5A and 1A variants, and an 11.5mm x 8.5mm footprint with 17.5mm height for the 2A variant.

The R-78K-2.0L components feature 90° bent pins, which allow the component to lie flat on the PCB to reduce the overall height of the solution.
