Qorvo QPC1008EVB Evaluation Board is a demonstration and development platform for the QPC1008 GaAs (Gallium Arsenide) MMIC (Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuit) RF Attenuator. The QPC1008 combines a 5-bit Digital Step Attenuator (DSA) with a 1dB Voltage Variable Attenuator (VVA). The DSA is controlled by a single voltage of either 0V or -5V, while the VVA is controlled using a single voltage varied from -5V to 0V. The digital bit values are 1dB (LSB), 2dB, 4dB, 8dB, and 16dB. When combined with the 1dB analog bit, a total of 32dB of attenuation is achieved. The QPC1008 has a low insertion loss of 5.5dB at 10GHz and is 50Ω matched, eliminating the need for RF port matching.
The Qorvo QPC1008EVB Evaluation Board features a pre-mounted QPC1008 in a 3.9mm x 3.9mm Quad Flat No-Lead (QFN) package. The Evaluation Board provides an example application circuit, allowing rapid prototyping when incorporated into existing designs.
