Phoenix Contact PSRmodular XC Safety Modules are designed for extreme ambient conditions, making them ideal for maritime environments. These XC safety modules are TÜV, UL, and CSA certified and have numerous advanced approvals in preparation, including ATEX zone 2, heat treatment (EN 746, EN 298, and EN 50156), and UL Class 1, Div. 2. These modules have corrosion protection with additional conformal coating of the printed circuit board (PCB) and are highly reliable even in extended temperature ranges. Phoenix Contact PSRmodular XC Safety Modules feature push-in technology and are suitable for process industry applications.
The configurable PSRmodular XC small-scale controllers can monitor several safety functions in a single application. The system functions as a stand-alone solution and can act as the overall machine control system for smaller machines. You can use the basic module as a separate component for this purpose.
If there are not enough I/Os, the system can be extended on a modular basis with up to 18 safety-related extension modules. They are simply connected to the base module via the DIN rail connector. This provides additional I/Os for connecting more sensors and actuators.
The safety system is set up with the PSRmodular configuration software. No programming knowledge is required in order to use the configuration software, as the safety logic is set up graphically using drag-and-drop.
