Phoenix Contact Emerson FB3000 Cable System offers a flying-lead cabling solution designed for use with Emerson’s FB3000 remote terminal unit (RTU), a next-gen flow controller used in upstream and midstream oil and gas applications. The FB3000 is a high-density system with small-pitch terminal blocks and tight spacing between blocks, which saves space but also makes wiring the I/O signals a time-consuming task that is prone to errors. The Phoenix Contact system eliminates the process of having to measure, cut, prep, mark, and terminate the wires. Simply plug the connector into the FB3000 personality module (I/O card block), route the cable through the wire duct, and then terminate the pre-ferruled and pre-labeled flying leads to the terminal block or relay. The FB3000 cables come connected to an encapsulated adapter housing with an integrated ejection lever, which offers a cam action that pries the adapter off the I/O terminal block header for quick removal.
Phoenix Contact Emerson FB3000 Cable System is flame retardant to UL VW-1, features a braided shield with drain wire, and is available in 1m, 2m, and 3m lengths. The cables have a -40°C to +75°C temperature range and include UL and HazLoc approvals.
