Panduit VeriSafe™ Absence of Voltage Testers (AVTs) automate the voltage verification process required by safety regulations when servicing electrical equipment. These permanently-mounted testers are used to verify that a circuit is de-energized prior to opening an electrical enclosure. Once installed, a push of a button enables personnel who have been trained on the operation of the tester to verify the absence of voltage and see an active indication when the absence of voltage is confirmed. The Indicator Module is designed for a 30mm notched panel knockout and the Isolation Module can be DIN rail or surface mounted using screws.
The VeriSafe™ AVTs include a set of redundant dry contact signal outputs for optional use with control systems. These contacts are located on the Isolation Module. The outputs are normally open and close only when the green Absence of Voltage Indicator is illuminated. By wiring to these contacts, the AVT can be used as an input to a control system and a log when the absence of voltage is verified.
