Panasonic PAN1781 BLUETOOTH® 5 Low Energy Module is a high-technology device featuring the nRF52820 single-chip controller. The Bluetooth 5 features as the LE coded PHY for an elongated range. The high-speed 2M PHY is supplemented by the support of Angle of Arrival (AoA) and Angle of Departure (AoD) direction finding using Bluetooth. This module is a drop-in replacement for PAN1026A and PAN1762 and offers embedded 256kB flash memory and 32kB internal RAM. The PAN1781 Bluetooth LE module features on-module DC/DC and LDO regulators with automated low current modes. This module supports Bluetooth mesh, thread, and Zigbee® mesh protocols and offers output power of up to 8dBm. The high sensitivity of the nRF52820 in combination with the LE coded PHY makes the module attractive in applications where long-range is required.
The PAN1781 Bluetooth 5 Low Energy module operates at the 1.7V to 5.5V voltage range and -40°C to 85°C temperature range. This module features a 128-bit AES/ECB/CCM/AAR co-processor for on-the-fly packet encryption. This allows PAN1781 to provide advanced wireless connectivity in a small package for smart home and industrial applications.
