onsemi NIS6151 5V Electronic eFuses

onsemi NIS6151 5V Electronic eFuses are cost-effective resettable fuses that protect USB applications from catastrophic failures. These fuses are designed to buffer the load device from excessive input voltage which can damage sensitive circuits. The NIS6151 fuses also protect the input side circuitry from reverse currents. These fuses include an overvoltage clamp circuit that limits the output voltage during transients but does not shut the unit down. The NIS6151 fuses feature integrated current monitoring, latching and auto-retry options, and a digital Enable pin with separate FLAG for fault identification. Typical applications include automotive infotainment, USB 2.0/3.0/3.1 VBUS, USB Type-C PD charging, Solid State Drives (SSDs), and motherboards.
