NXP Semiconductors S32G3 Vehicle Network Processors combine Controller Area Network (CAN), Local Interconnect Network (LIN), and FlexRay networking with high data rate Ethernet networking. These processors support the needs of vehicle architectures involving service-oriented gateways, vehicle computers, domain controllers, zonal processors, and safety processors. The S32G3 processors feature up to eight Arm® Cortex®-A53 cores with Arm Neon™ technology organized in two clusters of four cores. These vehicle network processors also feature up to four Arm Cortex-M7 dual-core lockstep (DCLS) complexes for real-time applications. The S32G3 processors offer up to 20MB of on-chip System SRAM, low Latency Communication Engine (LLCE) for automotive network acceleration, and PFE for Ethernet network acceleration. These vehicle network processors are built using advanced functional safety hardware and software for ASIL D systems.
NXP Semiconductors S32G3 Vehicle Network Processors are AEC-Q100 qualified and operate within a -40°C to +105°C temperature range. Typical applications include Firmware Over-the-Air (FOTA), automotive access points, safety processors, service-oriented gateway, vehicle computers, and zonal gateways.
The processors are housed in a 19mm x 19mm x 0.8mm 525 flip-chip ball-grid array and are pinout and software-compatible with the S32G2 series.
