Newhaven Display 4.3” IPS TFT Displays are based on In-Plane Switching (IPS) Technology. With IPS technology, electrodes are arranged with the liquid crystals inside the display rotated in parallel with the screen, rather than twisting and standing upright like with Twisted Nematic (TN) technology. IPS Displays offer truer color reproduction, excellent viewing angles, and better contrast.
Newhaven Display 4.3″ IPS TFT Displays are offered in three variations:
• Benchmark IPS TFT Displays Benchmark IPS TFTs include IPS technology with screen resolutions of 480x272px or higher at 800x480px. These displays feature a standard 24-bit RGB interface and offer a built-in steel mounting bracket as well as capacitive touch, resistive touch, or no touchscreen.
• IPS HDMI Modules include support for any controller with an HDMI output, plus an onboard DC power port and Texas Instruments™ ICs for added functionality. The Newhaven Display 4.3″ IPS HDMI TFT Modules deliver full 24-bit true-color with 800×480 resolution. These modules come equipped with both TI TFP401A HDMI/DVI receiver and TI TPS61165 LED driver. These devices include four 3.5mm mounting holes compatible with any standard M3 screws.
• IPS EVE2 Modules EVE2 supports a feature-rich controller capable of managing graphics, audio, and touch. Portrait and landscape modes are supported, multiple image formats and video playback. Built-in widgets include everything from touch screen buttons and sliders to gauges and clocks, making for a completely interactive interface right out of the box. No extra casing is required to mount the display, the built-in mounting brackets are compatible with any standard M3 screws.
