Murata Electronics MRMS AMR Sensors

Murata MRMS AMR Sensors detect a horizontal magnetic field, allowing a single magnet to support multiple sensing positions. Murata AMR Sensors are used together with a magnet, utilizing the magnetic resistance rate change being affected by the strength of the external magnetic field. These AMR sensors are independent of magnetic polarity, meaning that they detect the strong positive magnetic field and the strong negative magnetic field in the same manner. MRMS AMR Sensors have a wider detection area than Hall ICs and are not mechanical components like reed switches. These design elements allow added flexibility and smaller package size.
