Monolithic Power Systems (MPS) MPQ7235 Automotive Infrared LED Drivers provide a high-frequency, synchronous, rectified, step-down, switch-mode LED device with integrated power MOSFETs. The MPQ7235 delivers a continuous output current (ILED) of 1.5A, and a peak LED current (IPEAK) of 3A. The device achieves excellent load and line regulation across a wide input supply range. High efficiency is accomplished via a synchronous mode operation.
The MPS MPQ7235 Automotive Infrared LED Drivers implements low pulse-width modulation (PWM) dimming frequencies at small dimming duty cycles. Additionally, the device provides PWM dimming frequencies as low as 10Hz to adjust infrared radiation (IR) LED driver applications. It is compatible with 30fps, 60fps, and 120fps dimming. The MPQ7235 provides a fast transient response and eases loop stabilization through a current-mode operation. Complete protection features such as over-current protection (OCP) and thermal shutdown are available.
The MPQ7235 is AEC-Q100 qualified, in a space-saving QFN-13 (2.5mm x 3mm) package, and requires a minimal number of standard external components.
