Monolithic Power Systems (MPS) MPQ4316 Synchronous Step-Down Converters are frequency-configurable and step-down switching converters with integrated internal high-side and low-side power MOSFETs. These converters provide 6A of continuous output current (or lesser) with current mode control for fast loop response. The MPQ4316 synchronous step-down converters feature 100ns minimum on time, symmetric VIN for low EMI, and internal 48mΩ high-side MOSFET and 20mΩ low-side MOSFET. These converters also feature a 1.7μA low-shutdown supply current, 18μA sleep mode quiescent current, out-of-phase synchronized clock output, and low-dropout mode.
The MPQ4316 synchronous step-down converters operate with fixed-frequency and peak current control to regulate the output voltage at moderate to high output currents. These converters operate in two conditions based on MODE pin under light-mode conditions. The MPQ4316 synchronous step-down converters are used in automotive infotainment, automotive clusters, industrial power systems, and advanced driver assistance systems.
