Monolithic Power Systems (MPS) MPF42790 Battery Pack Fuel Gauges

Monolithic Power Systems (MPS) MPF42790 Battery Pack Fuel Gauges with level LEDs provide complete status information on lithium-ion battery strings up to 16 series cells. These battery pack fuel gauges determine the internal State-Of Charge (SOC) and State-Of-Health (SOH) for each cell and the full pack. The MPF42790 gauges estimate the remaining runtime, charge time, and instantaneous available power. These battery pack fuel gauges can achieve SOC accuracy within 3% when paired with the MP279x battery monitor. The MPF42790 gauges can also be paired with Analog Front-End (AFE) or battery stack monitors.

The MPF42790 battery pack fuel gauges support a 5-Level LED SOC indicator with a push-button trigger and various lithium cell chemistries and cell sizes. These gauges also support up to 400kHz I2C with CRC for robust communication. The MPF42790 gauges are easy to use and are available in a compact TQFN-32 (4mm x 4mm) package. These battery pack fuel gauges are used in renewable energy, industrial robots, floor cleaners, cordless tools, and gardening equipment.
