Monolithic Power Systems (MPS) MP4864A SPST Analog Switch is a 64-channel, high-voltage, single-pole single-throw (SPST) analog switch that includes integrated output bleed resistors intended for medical ultrasound imaging applications. The MP4864A is optimized to multiplex the transmit and receive voltages to and from multiple piezoelectric transducers (PZTs). A 64-bit serial shift register manages the output switches, followed by a 64-bit data latch. A data out (DOUT) pin enables multiple switches to cascade together, minimizing the number of input/output (I/O) control lines. A logic high signal in the data latch turns on the corresponding analog switch, while a logic low signal turns it off.
The MPS MP4864A SPST Analog Switch only needs two low-voltage supplies (3.3V and 12V) and no high-voltage supplies. The device blocks or passes analog voltages up to ±90V with peak currents of up to ±2A.
The MP4864A switch is housed in a BGA-144 (10mm x 10mm) package.
