Mikroe Clicker 4 Inverter Shield, when combined with the Clicker 4 Development Board for TMPM4K, creates a versatile solution for brushless DC motor control experimentation. The Clicker 4 Inverter Shield features a 3-phase inverter using Toshiba’s low RDS(ON) power MOSFETs, combined with an integrated gate driver easily configurable through the SPI interface. The inverter shield clips underneath the processor board and uses six MOSFETs to mediate power between an external 12V to 48V supply and the motor (TI DRV8323 gate driver). An onboard switching power supply produces a 5V output for the controller board. The device carries an incremental encoder receiver and a CAN transceiver, rounding out the functionality of the board ideal for various motor control applications.
