Microchip Technology WFI32E01 Wi-Fi® Microcontroller Modules are stand-alone, fully-certified devices supporting 2.4GHz 802.11 b/g/n radio modes. Specially designed for industrial IoT applications, the WFI32E01 Modules are based on the PIC32MZW1 Wi-Fi SoC (System-on-Chip), which is a 200MHz high-performance MCU with integrated Wi-Fi connectivity and rich peripheral options. This not only provides a robust Wi-Fi connection but also serves as a powerful MCU core for the entire IoT system. The WFI32E01 is also available with the Trust&Go hardware secure element, which is pre-provisioned for cloud platforms like Google Cloud, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Microsoft Azure.
The WFI32E01 Modules offer best-in-class WLAN functions covering the latest Wi-Fi security standard, Wi-Fi Protected Access 3 (WPA3), and all the general Wi-Fi functions like AP, STA, SoftAP, TLS, WPA/WAP2, etc. The software development of the WFI32E01 Modules is supported in Microchip MPLAB and Microchip Harmony v3.
The Microchip Technology WFI32E01 Wi-Fi Modules are offered in a compact 54-pin SMD package and includes either an onboard PCB antenna or an external u.FL antenna connector.
