Microchip Technology SSD1963 LCD Controller Graphics Card (AC320214) is a Daughter Board that enables controller-based graphics for Xplained Ultra and Curiosity Ultra Development Boards. The AC320214 Daughter Board passes 16-bit parallel graphics data directly from the parallel port of general-purpose Microchip MCUs like the PIC32MZ EF and the SAME70 to the SSD1963 LCD Display Controller from Solomon Systec. The SSD1963 on the AC320214 Daughter Board then connects to an external display panel via a 50-pin LCD interface to a ribbon cable connected to the LCD. This LCD Controller Graphics Card also provides for optional MCU ADC-based Resistive Touch capability.
The SSD1963 LCD Controller Graphics Card can be used in s8080 MCU mode (default) or 6800 MCU mode. This Daughter Board allows for the addition of graphics to an application where the MCU may not have enough memory or speed to control a large RGB-based TFT LCD display.
