Microchip Technology maXTouch® 1066-node Touchscreen Controller uses a unique charge-transfer acquisition engine to implement Microchip’s patented capacitive sensing method. The touchscreen sensing solution can measure, classify, and track the number of individual finger touches with a high degree of accuracy in the shortest response time. This mXT1066TD 1.0 controller allows for both mutual and self-capacitance measurements. These self-capacitance measurements used to augment the mutual capacitance measurements to produce reliable touch information. The maXTouch controller also incorporates a new self and sensor diagnostic function, that constantly monitors the integrity of the touch system.
The maXTouch 1066-node touchscreen controller features multiple touch support with up to 16 concurrent touches tracked in real-time, on-cell/touch-on display support including TFT, LCD (ITPS, IPS), and OLED. This touchscreen controller supports up to 60 bytes of user-defined data that can be stored during production. The maXTouch 1066-node touchscreen controller is available in 7mm x 5mm x 0.65mm high-density interconnect and 9.5mm x 7mm x 0.65mm non-HDI package. This device operates at -40°C to 85°C temperature range.
