Microchip Technology LAN937x Gigabit Ethernet Switches are scalable, compact 100BASE-T1 Ethernet Gigabit switches based on the IEEE 802.3bw-2015 specification.
The LAN9370 is a 5-Port Layer-2+ managed switch, incorporating four 100BASE-T1 PHYs and a single MAC port, configurable to RGMII/MII/RMII. The LAN9371 is a 6-Port Layer-2+ managed switch comprised of three 100BASE-T1 PHYs, one 100BASE-TX PHY, and two MAC ports, configurable to RGMII/MII/RMII. The LAN9372 is an 8-Port Layer-2+ managed switch, including five 100BASE-T1 PHYs, one 100BASE-TX PHY, and two MAC ports, configurable to RGMII/MII/RMII. The LAN9373 is an 8-Port Layer-2+ managed switch containing five 100BASE-T1 PHYs, two MAC ports configurable to RGMII/MII/RMII, and an SGMII port. The LAN9374 is an 8-Port Layer-2+ managed switch, merging six 100BASE-T1 PHYs and two MAC ports, configurable to RGMII/MII/RMII.
The LAN937x are offered in a Grade 2 Automotive (-40°C to +105°C) temperature range and are AEC-Q100 qualified for automotive use cases such as gateways, Automated Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS), infotainment, telematics, and in-vehicle networking. The switches are also provided in an industrial temperature version (-40°C to +85°C), ideal for non-automotive applications, such as industrial vehicles, automation, robotics, and transportation.
The LAN937x fully supports IEEE Audio Video Bridging (AVB) and key TSN (Time Sensitive Networking) standards, which supply high Quality of Service (QoS) for latency-sensitive traffic streams over Ethernet, including:
• IEEE 802.1AS time synchronization
• IEEE 802.Qat Stream Reservation
• IEEE 802.Qav traffic shaping
• IEEE 802.1Qbv (TSN) time-aware scheduler
• IEEE 802.1Qci (TSN) ingress filtering and policing
A rich assortment of EtherGREEN™ energy efficiency features are delivered, including Open Alliance TC10 sleep/wakeup partial networking, non-TC10 link partner energy detect wakeup, and ultra-deep-sleep power.
