Microchip Technology HV56020/22 Evaluation Board (ADM00924) is a demonstration and development platform for the HV56020 and HV56022 Dual High Voltage Operational Amplifiers. The HV56020 and HV56022 are driver solutions designed for haptic applications. The HV56020 is a Multi-Chip Module (MCM) integrating op-amps, a DC-DC converter, and a power MOSFET. The op-amps are designed to drive haptic piezo actuators at 225V with a 40mA minimum source/sink current. The DC-DC controller, the power MOSFET, and an external transformer generate the voltage supply using a non-isolated flyback configuration. The HV56022 consists of dual high voltage op-amps with a 40A minimum peak current and a 225V maximum voltage drive. The device is designed to be used along with the HV56020 to increase the channel count.
The Microchip Technology HV56020/22 Evaluation Board includes both the HV56020 and HV56022 and a 32-bit microcontroller (MCU), 12-bit dual Digital-to-Analog Converters (DACs), a BLUETOOTH® module, and power management ICs. The Evaluation Board connects to an available USB port on a Microsoft Windows-based PC. An easy-to-use Graphics User Interface (GUI) allows the user to feed data via USB using either live or stored data files, with support for both .csv and .wav file types. The Evaluation Board can transfer data to a smartphone using an Android™ app via Bluetooth.
