M5Stack Time-of-Flight (ToF) Distance Sensor

M5Stack Time-of-Flight (ToF) Distance Sensor employs ToF techniques to resolve the distance between the emitting point and the reach point of a subject. This device measures the round trip time of an artificial light signal provided by a laser. The ToF unit features distance measuring sensor VL53L0x that provides accurate distance measurement whatever the target reflectance, unlike conventional technologies. This unit can measure absolute distances up to 2m in less than 30ms and communicates with M5Core via I²C (0x29). The ToF distance sensor is available in 32mm x 24mm x 8mm dimensions. Typical applications include 1D gesture recognition, laser ranging, 3D structured light imaging, and camera assist.
