Lumissil IS31FL3246-x 36-Channel LED Drivers consist of 36 constant current channels that are Pulse Width Modulated (PWM) for smooth LED brightness control or color-mixing control. These channels are pulse width modulated by a combination of 8-bits (LFP) operating at 127Hz and 10-bits (HFP) operating at 32kHz to minimize the audible noise. The output current of each channel can be set up to 25mA and these channels are grouped as R group, G group, and B group. These groups feature an 8-bits output current control register each that allows fine-tuning the current for rich global RGB color mixing. These registers can be programmed via a high-speed I2C bus interface.
The IS31FL3246-x 36-channel LED drivers use proprietary programmable technology to minimize audible noise caused by MLCC decoupling capacitors. These chips can be turned off by pulling the SDB pin low or by using the software shutdown feature to reduce power consumption. The rising edge of the SDB pin will reset the I2C bus module. The IS31FL3246-x 36-channel LED drivers operate at the 2.7V to 5.5V supply voltage range and 40°C to 125°C extended industrial temperature range. Typical applications include hand-held devices for LED display and LED in-home appliances.
