Intel® RealSense™ Depth Camera D455 features stereo cameras that deliver excellent depth information for a variety of uses. Stereo cameras work well indoors and outdoors, making them ideal for robotics, drones, and more. Switching to the D455 using the Intel® RealSense™ SDK 2.0 is easy with virtually zero development time. The D455 extends the distance between the depth sensors to 95mm, improving the depth (Z) error to less than 2% at 4m. The camera also integrates an IMU to allow applications to refine depth awareness in any situation where the camera moves.
The Intel® RealSense™ Depth Camera D455 is an improvement over the D435 because it increases range by a factor of two. The SDK 2.0 is designed for seamless transitions from one generation to the next between the cameras.
• Longer range for collision avoidance.
• Matched RGB and Depth images make for easy scan recreations.
• Easier creation of digital twins with multiple cameras in real-time.
• Monitors patients or interact with digital sign viewers with increased precision at longer range.
• Integrates an IMU to allow the application to refine its depth awareness in any situation where the camera moves.
